How to run the race.

“I have so much to do that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.” Martin Luther

I love this quote. I love how true it is. In a day where I have so much planned that I choose to sleep till the last possible second, the day seems to be lived in catch up mode. Going from one event till another in a manner that can only be described as survival. But then there are the days that even though I have many things planned for the day, I still choose to spend time in prayer before starting with my to-do list. These days seems to run smoothly, with more energy, with more being accomplished.

In the same way a runner would not attempt to win a race without the required training, I should not expect to run the Christian race without training daily. Reading the Bible and praying. Such simple tools.

Hebrews 12 vs 1

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
