Matthew 7 vs 7-11
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him.”
I went through a season of writing down all my prayer requests in a little journal. After several weeks, I would go back through the journal and highlight all the prayers that the Lord had answered. I remember sitting in amazement at page after page of answered prayer.
This week the prayer of my heart has been regarding a Bible Study. In our previous home and church we had the privilege of hosting a group. It was such a blessing to be able to have our two babies in their own beds and the availability of being there for them at the same time as meeting together to study the Word.
Since we have moved however, Bible Study has become a challenge. Eventually after the last time of rushing to get out the door and feeling like I was failing as a mom for not being able to say goodnight to my girls, I decided it was just too hard and perhaps it would be better to wait a year until they are just that much older.
And then yesterday I got an email asking if we would like to host a Bible Study for young families. This would mean that both my husband and I could attend, and I would be available to tuck the girls in and give goodnight kisses. I am so excited and thankful!
Psalm 37 vs 4
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
