Call to Me

Jeremiah 33 vs 3

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

With our everyday easy access to all sorts of information, “google it” has become a common verb which describes how we are to get the answers that we seek. I love how God knows everything, even before it was created He knew we would become a “searching/googling” generation.

Google cannot tell us everything we want to know. It cannot explain to us the plans and purposes that God has for our lives. It cannot give us the wisdom we need in specific situations to love God’s people. There is only one place to go when we are looking for the “unsearchable things” and that is to the foot of the cross.

There comes such a beautiful simple promise in answer to this plea for us to pray: The promise that He will answer us when we call.

In the same way that I trust Google to provide me with information when I am looking for answers, I need to trust and rely on God’s Word, which promises to tell me the great and unsearchable things I do not know.
