We are commanded to remain firm in the Lord. To not waver in what we believe and not stray from the truth.
Philippians 4 vs 1
“Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!”
Remaining firm in the Lord starts with remaining firm in our minds. We need to keep right attitudes in order to have right actions. And to have right attitudes we need to think right thoughts.
Philippians 4 vs 8
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
As we go about serving God today in all that we do, we need to begin with checking the thoughts that we are having. Are they right? Are the pure? Are they lovely? Are the admirable? Are they excellent? Are they praiseworthy?
