The following two scriptures really challenged me this morning:
2 Thessalonians 3:13
“As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good.”
“And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful.”
I long to live a fruitful life but when caught up in the every day cycle of work and home it’s easy to get despondant.
The ministries that my husband and I used to be involved in are impossible now that we have small children, and yet the desire for a fruitful life remains.
And then I am reminded that I do nothing in my own strength, and that He has prepared good works for me to do in His Timing and He is faithful.
Ephesians 2 vs 10
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
1 Thessalonians 5:24
“He who calls you is faithful.”
My prayer today is that my eyes will be open and searching for opportunities to do good, no matter how small.
