I usually have my evening shower whilst my husband is reading the last bed time story. By the time I am dressed in my pajamas, the girls are ready for their goodnight kiss. My oldest daughter always hugs me tight and comments on how she loves the smell of my soap, usually comparing it to the smell of chocolate or something sweet.
But last night she said the most beautiful little phrase to me. As she hugged me tight and gave me a kiss, she looked deep into my eyes and said, “Mom, you smell like a lullaby.”
I think I floated on air for the remainder of the evening. The words were just so kind and beautiful and gave me such encouragement to carefully consider the words that I speak.
Proverbs 16 vs 24
“Kind words are like honey–sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.”
